Bad news from Xiaomi: Update support for two models has ended!

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Xiaomi is one of the most active companies in terms of updates. Due to the company’s extensive range of phones, it’s common to see software support ending for models that struggle to run newer versions. Xiaomi regularly shares these models with users through an EOL (End of Life) list. Recently, support for two popular models has been discontinued.

The smartphones added to Xiaomi’s EOL list will no longer receive Android or security updates. However, the company doesn’t close the door entirely; in the event of a serious security vulnerability, these devices may still receive updates. Recently, support for the POCO X3 GT and Redmi Note 10 JE was officially discontinued.

Xiaomi generally offers software support for three to four years. Once this period ends, the models are added to the EOL list on the company’s website, notifying users that these devices will no longer receive updates unless under special circumstances.

Below is a list of models that have lost support, as per Xiaomi’s EOL list:

Mi Series

Redmi Series

POCO Series

What do you think about Xiaomi’s update policy? Do you find it satisfactory? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
